Nature in Life
What is nature? Nature is the glistening snow in Winter, the cherry blossoms in Spring, the bright sun in Summer and the beautiful trees in Fall. Nature is more than just beauty that the eye can see. To some, nature means much more than just something to look at. Nature is where people go to find themselves. Nature is ultimately the most peaceful place in which one can go in the world today. This peacefulness allows people to connect with God in a way that is normally hard to do. It makes a person feel one-on-one with God. They can talk to God without the worry of what another person might say. The peacefulness of nature allows individuals to be able to be completely honest with the things going on in their lives, whether good or bad. Nature was the first thing God created on this planet, and as long as the people continue to return to nature so as to be at one with God, there will still be some good in this world.
Nature also led this planet into a world of lies and deceit. The forbidden apple off the tree in the Garden of Eden sent this world into distrust. When Eve took the apple, God banned her family from the Garden of Eden and He took nature away from them. They missed the wonders of life that they experienced in the beginning of their lives. In today’s life God sends storms that sometimes ruin our homes and cause us to lose loved ones. These storms make the world seem to have an “ugliness” fall upon it, yet God makes it simple to believe that nature helps one connect with Him in the peacefulness.
Not only can people connect with God in nature, but they can also become closer to family members without the distractions of the modern world. As I have grown, I have loved to go out into the wilderness with my grandma. My grandma and I would go out and just spend a whole day in the woods hiking or sitting by the water. Those were the most peaceful moments I remember from my childhood. I could go out with her and I could talk to her about anything. We would even go camping sometimes and spend days outside without the technology of the modern world. We would spend all our time out by the fire, walking through the woods, or even going swimming at the beach. Nature brought my grandma and I closer to each other just by being able to spend that time together. I was able to learn so much from my grandma and I hope to be just like her one day and spend quality time with my grandchildren in nature. Unfortunately nature is slowly disappearing in a world of factories and business. We need to bring nature back as a large part of our world so our great grandchildren can have the experience that I have had with my grandma. Nature brings people closer to other people as well as to God. Even nature’s storms and “ugliness” can be seen as the beautiful work of God. Nature is what a person makes of it not what someone says it is because every person is entitled to their own opinion.
